Found in southeastern Brazil to Parana' as a small sized, warm to cool growing terrestrial with basal, 4, erect-patent, ovate-elliptic, slighty acute, rounded below into the thin pseudopetiolate base leaves that blooms in the winter on a terminal, erect, straight to slightly sinuous, enveloped by 5, acuminate, amplexicaul bracts, erect, rachis 3.6" [9 cm] long, 15 to 20 flowered inflorescence with suberect, lanceolate, acuminate, slightly longer to equal to the ovaries floral bracts
