Common Name The Ledge Carrying Cyrtochilum ?

Found in Ecuador as a small sized, cool to cold growing epiphyte or terrestrial with slender, flattened pseudobulbs enveloped basally by several distichous, imbricating, lower leafless, upper leaf-bearing sheaths and carrying a single, apical, strap-shaped, widest towards the apex but tapers quickly to an acute apex, tapers gradually below the middle into the elongate, conduplicate, narrow, petiolate base leaf that blooms in the spring in situ on a basal, climbing, rambling, to 60" [150 cm] long, paniculate, few short, widely spaced, spreading, 1 to 3 flowered branches, many flowered inflorescence with the large, showy flowers held towards the apex.
The C falcipetalum group consists of C detortum, C Pozoi, C lamelligerum, and C verstraeteanum.
