Flower Size .28" [7 mm]

Found in Sarawak Borneo in lower montane primary forests at elevations around 2250 to 2400 meters as a miniature to small [in bloom] sized, cold growing, tufted epiphtye with conical, greenish-yellow, crowded pseudobulbs enveloped by membraneous sheaths in youth and carrying a single, apical, erect, thick, leathery, deeply sulcate, elliptic to oblong-elliptic, obtuse, mucronate, narrowing below into the petiolate base leaf that blooms in the summer on an erect, peduncle .14 to 2.6" [3.5 to 6.5 cm] long, rachis 6.4 to 8" [16 to 20 cm] long, quadrangular, densely many flowered inflorescence with ovate, mucronate, membraneous, prominently nerved, longer than the ovary floral bracts and carrying greenish flowers

"Closely related to D crassifolium the column is much more slender and has obtuse fleshy stelida which arise from the base, the leaves are proportionally much smaller, recalling those of D lewisii and are often somewhat constricted below the apex and the flowers are larger and of a greenish hue and are probably visited by a diffferent pollinator."
