Found in Vera Cruz and Oaxaca states of Mexico without elevational data as a small sized, warm to cool growing, caespitose to very shortly repent epiphyte with slender, erect ramicauls enveloped by 2 thin tubular sheaths and carrying a single, erect, coriaceous, shiny green above, purple spotted beneath, broadly elliptical, obtuse, cuneate below into the shortly petiolate base leaf that blooms in the spring and again in the fall on an erect, arising laterally from the ramicaul, distichous, flexible, flexuous, lax, to 6" [to 15 cm] long including the 1.2 to 1.6" [3 to 4 cm] long peduncle, successively single, several flowered inflorescence with an oblique, shorter than the pedicel floral bract.
"Characterized by a minute, caespitose plant with a thick, dark green, purple spotted, elliptical leaves. Proportionally the raceme is exceeding long and distantly flowered often with 2 to 3 of the little pale yellow-green flowers open simultaneously. The tip of the dorsal spal is clubbed with a cavity from below similar to that seen in P segratifolia. The synsepal and petals are obtuse and the lip is oblong with a pair of parellel low longitudinal calli." Luer 2006
