Cymbidium macrorhizon differs from all the others in the subterranean rhizome, lacking leaves , pseudobulbs or roots, the second member of this section C lancifolium has psueodobulbs but has flowers very closely related to C macrorhizon.but related in flower form to Section Jensoa
