Found in Sabah and Sarawak Borneo in primary forests at elevations around 800 to 900 meters as a mini-miniature sized, warm growing epiphyte with a creeping rhizome with close set, ovoid, somewhat flattened, basal half prostrate on and fused to the rhizome so that the new pseudobulb arises above half way up the previous pseudobulb carrying a single, apical, elliptic to obovate, obtuse, petiolate base leaf that blooms on an arching, peduncle 1.32 to 1.6" [3.3 to 4 cm] long, provided with 2 to 3 scales, rachis .6 to 1.2" [1.5 to 3 cm] long, single flowered inflorescence with much shorter than the ovary floral bracts carrying flowers that do not open well with a transparent, white with 5 red nerves, the lateral sepals with a pale flesh base, middle deep ochre and the apex ocher yellow with 7 dull red streaks, petal whitish with dark blackish red tips and a dull red purple lip with a dull red median streak.
The shape of the column and stelida is similar to B dibothron, B lambii and B longhutense but the species is well characterized by the narrowly ovate, acuminate li without any ornamentation on the adaxial side except for two minte keels close to the base.
